Bird People of China is an exception in MIIKE’s career. A MIIKE movie with :
-a screenwriter who cared about telling a story and develop characters.
-an editor who really did his job.
-an overlong middle which is less overlong than in other movies by MIIKE.
-an interesting commentary about contemporary Japan.
In a word: a Must See for all MIIKE fans… and all MIIKE sceptics.
