Lam Ching Ying again shines in the role that he is most known for: the straight man with mystical powers; as does Joey Wong. Along with his two assistants, they must attempt to dispel an evil Japanese spirit which haunts the woods. CiCi? (Joey), is a woman who is kidnapped by the evil spirit and forced to marry him. As a result, she turns evil. The three mystics, in their efforts to eliminate the evil, wind up in modern day Hong Kong. There, they are like fish out of water as they grapple with the evil spirit.
