Wilson Yip and Francis Ng... what a great combination!

After having watched another collaboration between Wilson Yip directing Francis Ng, which was for "Juliet in Love", I couldn't wait to watch "Bullets over Summer" and I was stunned with the quality of this piece. In times where very good HK films have unfortunately become a rarity, it is always a pleasure to research on past films which simply rocked. To me it is really hard finding a great HK film (and by 'great' I mean a film which will really make you say "WOW!!!") as I have watched and own a lot of them and I get the feeling that the only modern films that can really impress are currently coming from Korea and not from HK anymore. Hence, it is great to find a great HK film which I haven't seen before. I am sure there are a lot more, but filtering them out is tough, but I love doing that and hence my search stays a never-ending quest. "Bullets over Summer" gave me my old passion for HK films back. Thanks to all who have recommended the film to me.
